Asset URL for QR/NFC Tags

Flowscape's innovative Virtual Panel is a small tag with a QR code on a desk or outside a room. Simply scan the QR code and immediately book the resource.

Requisites

• QR/RFID tags from suppliers with valid asset URLs are available
• There are different tools for transferring a URL in a QR code to computers
  This guide will show the process using the app “Barcode to PC” or the “Camera App” in Windows

Generate URLs for QR/NFC tag

Generate Single Asset URL to Flowscape asset i.e., room or desk

• Sign in on the Flowscape Admin portal and select Assets
• Selected an asset (Room or Desk) to generate an Asset URL
  
  
• Select the tab: “Asset URL”
• Click on “Enable Asset URL”
  
  
• Click on Update
  

An “Asset URL” will be generated for the selected asset and the asset window will be closed.

Generate URLs for QR/NFC tag

Generate Multiple Asset URLs from the Flowscape Admin Portal using Bulk Edit

1. Sign in on Flowscape Admin portal and select Assets
2. Filter on Assets you want to generate Asset URLs for.
   (e.g. Asset type: Room, Office: London HQ, Floor 7)
3. Click on the top checkbox and all filtered asset will be selected
4. Click on the Bulk Edit pen up to the left
5. Select tab: ”Asset URL”
6. Click on ”Enable Asset URL”
7. Click on Update

Assign QR/NFC Tags to an asset (Using Barcode to PC)

1. Sign in on the Flowscape Admin portal and select Assets
2. Selected an asset (Room or Desk) to generate an Asset URL
3. Select the tab: ”Asset URL”
4. Click on ”Enable Asset URL”
5. Click on the ”URL” input field to place the cursor there.
6. Scan your QR code by tapping the camera icon in the “Barcode to PC” app.
   The URL in the QR Code will be typed in the Asset URL field.
7. Click on Update and the asset modal will be closed, and you select a new room or asset to be connected.

For connecting more tags to the room, repeat steps 2-6

Assign QR/NFC Tags to an asset (Using the Windows Camera App)

1. Sign in on the Flowscape Admin portal and select Assets
2. Selected an asset (Room or Desk) to generate an Asset URL
3. Select the tab: ”Asset URL”
4. Click on ”Enable Asset URL” and click on the ”URL” input field to place the cursor there.
5. Change the window to “Camera App” and hold the QR Code in front of the camera. Click on the URL link shown at the bottom.
6. The link opens in a browser.
7. Copy the link from the browser
8. Paste the link in the Asset URL field in the Admin Portal
9. Click on Update and the asset modal will be closed, and you select a new room or asset to be connected.
