This step-by-step guide explains how to install the Flowscape software on a Philips room panel.
Please keep in mind that these instructions ONLY apply to the Philips room panel model 10BDL4151T with Android 7.
Step 1: Factory Reset
A factory reset is essential. When you unbox the tablet, it isn't a factory reset. Most of the bugs we get are because the device hasn't had a factory reset. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get it done while you set it up.
- Connect the Philips panel to power (PoE or AC) and Ethernet
- When first starting the panel, you will be asked to configure the room panel. Click "skip" on all alternatives until you reach the end and select "Finish",
- Click the back button and swipe down on the black screen to enter the admin interface of the panel. You will be asked to enter a passcode. The default is 1234
- Click "Settings"
- Click "System Tools"
- Click "Factory Reset"
- Click "Factory Reset"
Your device will now reset and reboot. This will take a few minutes.
Step 2: Configure Ethernet
The Flowscape app can change the configuration of the panel from Ethernet to WIFI, however, it is not possible to change from WIFI to Ethernet within the Flowscape app. Therefore we recommend configuring the network settings to Ethernet as default.
- After the factory reset, you will again be asked to configure the room panel.
- Click start
- Skip security settings
- On Signage display settings select "Manual Setup" and click "Next"
- Enable Ethernet (please note this requires the panel to be connected to Ethernet)
- Skip "Clone MEtia Files into Internal"
- Click Finish
- Click the back button and swipe down on the black screen to enter the admin interface of the panel. You will be asked to enter a passcode. The default is 1234
Step 3: Install Flowscape software
- Download .zip file with the latest Philips software here: https://support.flowscape.se/hc/en-us/articles/360013823940-T230-Philips-files (If you don’t already have an account you will need to create one by self enrolment).
- Unzip the file
- Copy file cronus.apk to a usb stick
- Connect the usb stick to your Philips display
- Select Storage
- Select USB drive
- Browse to where you put the file on the USB stick.
- Press the file called cronus.apk and select open then select install. Once it has finished press “Open”
Step 4: Verify the installation
We have seen sometimes that the Flowscape app is not starting up automatically after the installation has been done. Make sure that the installation was successfully done by restarting the panel after the installation.
- Turn off the room panel by unplugging the power
- Turn on the room panel by plugging the room panel to power
- Wait for the room panel to start. After the room panel has started it will take a couple of seconds for the Flowscape app to start.
- If the Flowscape app is starting, congratulations you have successfully installed the Philips panel
- If the Flowscape app is not starting after 15- 30 seconds you will need to redo the installation from Step 1 (factory reset).
