The SAM view serves as your base. Daily operational communication and incoming information will go through your SAM-view. Here you have access to all Cases, Reports, and Chats, as well as users and groups.
What kind of information that will be available for you depends on which rights you have as a user. Read more about this in the manual for Understanding access levels.
Through SAM, you can assign reports to Cases as well as select which groups and users will be assigned to a Case.
The SAM view is web-based program with access over the internet. The C-One primarily supports Chrome and Safari. For instructions on how to use C-One in your mobile phone, read; use C-One app.
You can perform various actions to affect the content of your SAM view.
Two views in SAM
When you log into SAM, two views are available; SAM and Admin. You can switch between these through the gear in the top right corner.
Manage your Administrator role
To manage system administration, such as adding new users, groups or modifying system features, read manual for the Admin view.
Manage SAM view
The SAM view is similar to the desktop on your computer, which you can customize according to your needs. Each menu tab, when clicked on, is displayed in a separate window. If you want a window to appear in a certain way each time you open the system, you can configure it by doing the following:
- Start clearing the entire SAM view so it's empty with the map only.
- Click the menu tab that you want to display on your SAM view. For example the menu tab "cases". Do the same with the other features you want on your desktop.
To set your new SAM view as permanent, do the following:
- Click on set current layout as my default to save your own desktop look.
- Click on restore my default layout to revert any changes you have made, the desktop will then automatically go back to your own personal desktop saving.
- Click get default layout to completely restore your desktop look.
- Send an email to C-One support if any help is needed.
The clock icon will give you a notification if anything new occurs.
Drag-and-drop
Drag and drop lets you move information between different windows in your SAM view. This function allowes you, among other things, to:
- Move a report to a Case
- Move groups to a Case
- Move individual users to a Case
- Archive Cases
The drag and drop feature is used by pressing the object you want to move with your computer mouse and then dragging it to the desired Case or group.
Filter reports and cases
There might be a lot of reports and information reaching your C-One system at once. Therefore, you can choose what you want to prioritize through the filter function. The filter function is located next to the menu tab and looks the same for all windows in your C-One system.
What you can choose to filter through this feature includes:
- What time interval you want to display
- What priority level you are interested in.
- What kind of information the report/case has.
Manage your columns
The columns displayed on the top of your window will show you information about the characteristics of your report/case. You can manually delete or move these columns after your own choosing.
You sort the columns by dragging them to the desired location through the drag-and-drop function.
Right-clicking on the column lets you remove columns or adding new ones by clicking the check-box.
Use the map
The map that formes the basis of your C-One system serves as an overview of all users, reports, and map pins. Users that are logged in will be market as well as reports and map pins that has not been archived.
You can temporarily remove any of these three map markers by clicking on the symbols in the top right corner of the map. The map is connected to the filter function, only the filtered reports will be shown.
This allows you to get a better overview of your system and its geographical spread.
