The LoRa gateway needs to have:
- The GW clock synchronization requires NTP on UDP123. To get this working you need to allow for NTP (UDP 123) traffic from the inside ->internet for ALL destinations.
If this cannot be done, see this manual for an alternate configuration option. - Traffic on port 8883 (UDP/TCP) open towards lorawan-ns-eu.tektelic.com - needed for sensor data
- For Gateways delivered before FEB 2023 from FACTORY you may need to open port 1883 instead of 8883, or both if you have a mixed environment.
- You also need to make sure that all network requirements are met before powering up the GW, if not the frequency of how often the gateway tries to connect will be lower and lower until finally it stops trying altogether.
- If this happens you need to power cycle to GW by disconnecting all PoE and External power supplies and disconnecting the backup battery. Alternatively, you can disconnect all power a let it sit overnight to drain the backup battery.
