An asset can be a desk, room, parking or other resource. These can be bookable, non-bookable or blocked and registered with different equipment.
With the Flowscape portal, by clicking on the asset, you can edit:
- Name and description
- If the assets configuration that contains informaiton about whether the asset is bookable or not, or check-in strategies
- Number of seats
- Equipment of the asset
This is beneficial to you if your workplace environment changes. But it also enables you to specify all your assets, so its easier for employees to find one with the equipment suitable for their needs.
Top of the asset page
Starting from the top you can see a search bar. Here you can search for a specific asset name.
Beneath it are the filters you can use to find assets with specific properties(asset type, office, floor, etc.)
Right on top of the asset list, you will see some different categories. You can sort assets by category. Just click on the category you are looking for and the table will sort automatically in alphabetic order.
Here, we will go through:
- Name and description
- Seats
- Equipment
- Bookable, non-bookable rooms and email
- Site, building, zone and floors
Let's take an example and go through all the columns. Room "Nature" has some interesting features.
Name and Description
The room's name is "Nature", you can view the description in the edit menu by clicking on the item in the list. The description can help you categorize all rooms and give a more detailed explanation of their functions.
In this example, the description lets us know that the room has "Standard seating"
Seats
We can see that the room has a total of 4 seats. This will make it easier for employees to select a room that has the right amount of seats for a meeting. By opening the edit menu, you can change and view the number of seats.
Equipment
The equipment present in room 'Nature' is a screen and video (you can view all the equipment by clicking on the drop-down menu). There you can see a list of possible equipment and also add more equipment.
This will help employees select a room that suits their needs, depending on if they are making a conference call or having a Powerpoint presentation.
Calendar ID
The email address is needed if you are integrating the asset towards another calendar system, for example Outlook. The Calendar ID refers to the identifier of your resource in your other calendar system.
Regions, sites, buildings, zones and floors
This describes the room's geographical position in your office map.
Connection to app and billboard
The information that you can edit and view in the Flowscape portal is also shown on the billboard and app.
The example for desks is very similar, with a few minor changes:
Removing assets
Remove a room from the list by clicking "Delete" in the edit menu.
Exporting information
You can export a list of all rooms to Excel, by clicking on the "⇩" icon.
