Sensor Overview

Different types of sensors can be integrated with the Flowscape System, for example, motion sensors that you place inside rooms or under desks will indicate if someone is in the room or using the desk. Other types of sensors that can be integrated with Flowscape system is the Flowscape USB Desk Check-in Sensor as well as the Busy Light.

In the portal, navigate to Devices and Sensors to do any of the following: 

• Change sensor name
• Change the location of the sensor
• Add new sensors
• Delete sensor

Top of the sensor page

Starting from the top you can see a search bar. Here you can search for a specific sensor name.

Beneath it are the filters you can use to find sensors with specific properties (office, provider, etc.)

Right on top of the sensor list, you will see some different categories. You can sort assets by category. Just click on the category you are looking for and the table will sort automatically in alphabetic order.  You can edit what categories are visible to you by clicking on the three dots next to the sensor categories.

Edit sensors

To edit existing sensors, click on the sensor you want to edit and the Edit menu will open.

In this menu you can change a few different properties:

Change sensor name

You can change the sensor name in the system, this name will only be shown in the Flowscape portal. 

• To change the sensor name, open the Edit menu, by clicking on the sensor.
• Type the new name.
• Click "Update" to confirm the changes.

Change the location of the sensor

A sensor can be moved from one room or desk to another. If a sensor is moved it is important that you also change its position in the office. Otherwise, the sensor will show activity in the wrong room/desk.

• To change the sensor's location, open the Edit menu, by clicking on the sensor.
• Choose a new asset from the list.
• Click “Update” to confirm the changes.

Export the sensors' info

You can do that, by clicking on the arrow icon on the top left part of the page.
