Add New Zones
We recommend always populating the zones first to make it easier to assign your spaces to the correct zone at creation.
Create a zone by right-clicking on the map where you want to place the zone. A pop-up will appear, where you have to select “Zone” in the drop-down menu.
Give the zone a name and select if the zone should be visible or not (note that your position will not show up on the map if you are in a zone that is not visible).
Press “Create zone”
A grey square will show up on the map where you created the zone. This is your zone.
Edit Zones
You can change/move/reshape a zone you just created or an existing zone on the map. To do that, click on the zone to open the configuration panel.
In the configuration panel. you will be able to:
-
-
- Change the name of the zone
- Change the number of zone points (this is how many corners the zone will have).
-
- Change the visibility of the zone
Press “Save Change” in the configuration panel to change the zone properties.
Move/change the shape of the zone by clicking on one of the green points and then drag the gizmo (green square) to where you want to place the corner of the zone. You can also move the corner in only the X or Y axis by dragging the arrow instead of the green box. (arrow keys can also be used).
To be able to keep straight lines and position your zone precisely, we recommend activating the grid and moving the corner so the arrows are placed on a grid corner. You can move the grid in the “grid offset” in the bottom left corner of the MapEditor. Drag the marker up and down to move the grid in the Y axis and drag left or right to move the grid in the Y axis.
Remove a Zone
Remove the zone by clicking on the grid and selecting “Delete” in the configuration panel on the right side.
Important: When removing a zone, make sure no spaces are connected to this zone after deletion.
