This step-by-step guide explains how to install the Flowscape software on a Philips room panel 10BDL5051T (the newer model).
Step 1: Configure Ethernet
The Flowscape app can change the configuration of the panel from Ethernet to WIFI, however, it is not possible to change from WIFI to Ethernet within the Flowscape app. Therefore we recommend configuring the network settings to Ethernet as default.
- You will be asked to configure the room panel.
- Click start
- Date & Time set correct Timezone.
- On "Clone Media Files into Internal" click on "Skip"
- On "Signage Display Settings" select "Manual Setup" and click "Next"
- On "Signage Display Name" click "Next"
- Remote Control click on "Skip"
- On "Security Settings" click on "Skip"
- On "Network Settings" select "Ethernet" and click on "Next" (please note this requires the panel to be connected to Ethernet)
- Enable Ethernet
- On "Setup Completed" click Finish
- On the "CMND & Deploy" or "WAVE" page, click "Skip"
- Press Menu+VolumeDown buttons to enter the admin interface of the panel
- Enter the passcode 1234
Step 2: Install Flowscape software
- Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources: must be ENABLED (turned on)
- Download .zip file (4.1.0 or later) with the latest Philips software here:
https://support.flowscape.se/hc/en-us/articles/360013823940-Roompanel-software-APK-s - Unzip the file
- Copy file cronus.apk to a usb stick
- Connect the usb stick to your Philips display
- Select Storage
- Select USB drive
- Browse to where you put the file on the USB stick.
- Press the file called cronus.apk and select open then select install. Once it has finished press “Open”.
- Press Menu+VolumeDown buttons
Enter the passcode 1234
Settings -> Apps -> Def Apps -> Home app -> cronus
Step 3: Verify the installation
We have seen sometimes that the Flowscape app is not starting up automatically after the installation has been done. Make sure that the installation was successfully done by restarting the panel after the installation.
- Turn off the room panel by unplugging the power
- Turn on the room panel by plugging the room panel to power
- Wait for the room panel to start. After the room panel has started it will take a couple of seconds for the Flowscape app to start.
- If the Flowscape app is starting, congratulations you have successfully installed the Philips panel
- If the Flowscape app is not starting after 15- 30 seconds you will need to redo the installation from Step 1 (factory reset).
