Before reading this manual, make sure to Read our FlowPlanner overview.
The information presented in the FlowPlanner calendar card can be used to make strategic decision about your office attendance and space bookings. You can decide on your office attendance based on:
- If there are available spaces to book.
- How many people will be in the office that day.
- How many of your selected colleagues will be in the office.
Are there available spaces to book?
In the calendar card, you can see the percentage of spaces booked in the office for each day. Depending on the percentage given, it can be beneficial to book a workspace for that particular day to make sure you have guaranteed seating when you arrive.
What conclusions can be drawn depends on the seating arrangement at your particular office. If you have unbookable desks that are easily accessible, or if you’re only in the office to attend meetings, this metric will be less relevant. But overall, the percentage of spaces available is always a good metric to keep track of when registering office attendance.
Will the office be crowded?
The percentage of office capacity for a given day can help you decide whether to come to the office. Some people prefer a quieter, less crowded environment, while others thrive in a bustling atmosphere.
Use the capacity percentage to choose the days that best match your preferences and needs.
Interpret the metrics depending on the building’s overall capacity
The capacity of an office and the number of bookable spaces can vary depending on the office size and layout. Always consider the total number of spaces and the overall office capacity when interpreting the percentage of spaces booked and the percentage of office capacity reached.
For example, 10% available spaces can be a lot in an office with over 300 spaces, but very little in an office with only 30 spaces. Furthermore, an office with 90% office capacity reached will be considered very crowded if the office holds 20 people in a small space but will not be considered too crowded in an office with the capacity of 1000 across several floors.
How many from my team will be in?
Use the count of selected colleagues to determine if it's worthwhile to come to the office based on your team members' attendance. If your primary reason for coming to the office is collaboration, this metric will help you assess whether it aligns with your goals.
